Pungbaek as natural born 5 star is really awesome. He got high base stats and awesome skills. You can rune him any way you want. You can use his high base HP by adding a few HP runes and it will work fine. Make sure to add ATK% too because his skill are scaled through attack power. But make note that the first skill increases too based on the maximum HP.
This guy, has also an awakened of bonus of 15% Crit rate plus he got a leader skill of +24% crit rate. Make a note that all monster has a base crit rate of 15%, so that would make the Critical Rate of 54% if you use him as leader. Additionally if Blade runes will be used, that would be an additional 12%, and that would be 66% critical rate. This is awesome. So it would make sense to use Critical Damage % on the 4th slot.
My recommended rune for this guy is Rage/Blade (HP/CD/ATK). Why HP on slot 2? This is to make him tanky and would not die easily. Critical damage on slot 4 for him to utilize his high critical rate. But if you really want him to be a full attacker, you can use ATK % instead of HP on slot 2 and would still be fine.
So where you can use Pungbaek?
In arena offence and defence, Pungbaek is awesome. I mean really awesome. He wouldn’t die easily because of High HP pool and got nice damage output. Seriously his 3rd skill can one hit delete water tank monster. For dungeons, you can use him as your main DPS and because he got a leader skill that gives CR, you can pair him with ahman which needs Crit rate to become effective.
Final Verdict:
Awesome Monster.

One Punch Man Monster
Pung has low attck base, that means he will short out of damage, but once u awaken him, u will got extra 15%CR that means com2us force u to build him with rage with highly damage he can hit.
Well, he has very high attack multiplier with his 3rd that around 700%-870% from our attack stats to deal damage to enemy, and over 400% multiplier attack for the rest if u kill something with his 3rd.
U can reach 60k damage with his 3rd and 40k damage for the rest.
Which means really hard hitter, Hard Carry, Buff remover, sleep maker, debuffer, and tanker in one monster. U still think that he is not good as Chiwu? Better see chiwu attack multiplier, and u will see that they are a different type of monster that will use in different kind of strategy. -
Great monster
He can do much damage by itself, but if you joints with Galleon he can kill everyone in a team.

Bad reviews and bad information
Ok, based on Christopher's input, he simply watched a YCBD video and commented from there….
Pungbaek , in disagreement with the staff post, IS NOT AN HP MONSTER. You do NOT build him for soak or for his 1st attack.
YOU HAVE TO have him where he can go a MINIMUM of 1 road, so he has to be apart of a speed team that offers atk bar increase OR he needs 150-170 speed.
Face it, you cannot get 220-260% CD and have 190+ speed AND have 1500+ atkSo, you have to build him around your teams, not build a team around him.
If you need a wind tank, ok, soak him up all HP, but he is being wasted. You could use a copper to do that.
If you hit the 1500+ arena range he HAS to be on a speed team if you are going to use him. OR, you gimp him down to 180-190 CD and give him 190 speed+ Then you will see 12-18k crits or 38-44k crits with armor break on….See people spit those idiotic numbers out, but IGNORE than you need a 2nd mon to do the set up to hit those.
So, build him to make a good team great, but do not expect an AMAZING MON, unless you have structured him to survive the 1st round through the rest of your team through speed teams or CC teams
People putting him at 9-10 for defense..are morons. My team, he is the 1st I kill. He never gets a turn. He may be amazing at 890-1400, but he is not amazing on defense after that and he is near on useless in GW for a defense mon in G3+, so your "reviews" are from people who are still playing in the kiddie pool
He has no use in D10 or L10..PERIOD. he can help clear the way, but once it is showtime, he is a wasted slot. SO, since all I do are the 10s, I see no point in giving him a silly, generalized ratings \
You CAN build him as an atk/CC mon with Despair/blade atk%/CD/Atk% with subs in speed and CD, for TOA and part of a speed CC team.He is a terrific mon, but he is not an OVERALL mon like some 4 star mons are. Overall meaning it can be used and exceed the use of other mons, across all formats
